Plus, the original iPhone wasn’t “shipped to customers” on launch day. You could only buy it, in person, at an Apple Store or AT&T. It wasn’t like today where you can preorder to receive it on launch day.

He’s saying the article is about the initial launch day, where the only models available were 4 GB & 8 GB. The article says it topped out at 16GB. The 16GB model was released well after launch day.Mike Wuerthele said:
