It comes from someone who worked at the BBC the well known “impartial” organisation (NOT) that supported the EU even after a democratic vote and tends to be against any Conservatives government.
While the BBC employs a lot of young educated urbanites, who definitely lean left, the leadership of the BBC is made up of Conservative supporters, failed political candidates and donors. The cross pollination has gone the other with senior BBC journalists joining the staff of the Conservatives.
OK. You make a fair point and I like that you disagree with me in a reasonable way, as I do with you. Unusual on forums!  Hopefully we can agree to disagree on the BBC.

I agree with the comments about leaving the EU.and school buildings being an unnecessary political  barb. It comes from someone who worked at the BBC the well known “impartial” organisation (NOT) that supported the EU even after a democratic vote and tends to be against any Conservatives government. There are around 100 schools affected by the concrete problem, out of may thousands.
No by the way I am not a Brexit biased commenter, I just support the democratic vote of my countrymen, and don’t link every problem to Brexit unlike Mr Gallagher, who should stick with writing fiction, oh! He is:)

  • Apple Card is here, find out all you need to know

I'll have to wait for the card to appear in the UK but I'm interested because of the additional security features. I'll read the additional comments on here after it has officially been launched and used.  The only point I'd make, and it's just a guess, but for regular payments such as iCloud subscriptions, Amazon etc I would have thought you be able to generate details AND specify that it's for regular payments so that number remains in force for that particular retailer - just a guess.  As so many have already said, it either suits or it doesn't and the choice to apply or not is yours.

  • Second class action suit surrounding Apple's throttling of iPhones with depleted batteries...

All Apple has to do now is remove that throttling algorithm and let the phone battery drain and now the customer will have to go ahead and buy a new phone. At least, this way Apple of helping those customer to make their phone last longer. Also, all of this, because  of Li-On battery and this is the best form of batter technology easily available out there. I am sure Apple would rather have customer upgrade to newer equipments.
Wow - you mean iPhone batteries aren't supposed to last forever - I guess that must be why we don't have infinite energy in the world :)  I agree transparency would be better but also like the idea that Apple just remove the anti drain software and let people buy new batteries like every other device.  Watch the class action suits pile up then for not "looking after" the customer and not warning them that batteries don't last.  Just a hint for some of the people who commented, there's a charger that comes with the phone - you need to charge it more that just the once when you open the box! otherwise it runs out!  Just clearing things up in case people weren't sure :)
