  • IOGear 2-port 4K KVM: Simple, cost-effective multi-Mac control

I have a 5K LG UltraFine Display with two newish MacBook Pros on each side of it.  Bluetooth keyboard and mouse round out the setup.  Sure wish there was a Thunderbolt/USB-C KVM solution that supported that resolution.  As a semi-solution I use a Logitech MX mouse and keyboard that supports Logitech's Easy-Swith approach to at least allow me to move mouse/keyboard back and forth between laptops.  That works most of the time.  But I have to keep unplugging/plugging the display's cable between the laptops when I want to share it.  That's annoying.   Anyone have a better solution?

  • SanDisk debuts new USB-C Extreme & Extreme Pro SSDs with twice the performance

How does this compare to the OWC Envoy Pro EX drive in price, real-world speed, features?  Wondering Samsung brings to the table that's not already there with that drive.

  • Apple Arcade has shifted to focus on games with higher 'engagement'

I agree most of the games are lacking depth and some are just plain raw feeling.  The occasional gem appears every quarter or so and when that happens I enjoy the service.  Just finished playing Little Orpheus and enjoyed the heck out of it.  A good example of the kind of game Arcade puts forth at their best though it was a short experience.  The service is no platform killer and perhaps Apple doesn't care if it is.

This is just lame, it's all meaningless garbage.

6x AA batteries and a monthly subscription license to use it means it's a no-go for me.
All these types of Smart Locks have Battery's in them to work. How do you expect them to work otherwise? Are you going to run house power onto your door?
Why do you think my specifically noting "6xAA batteries" means I don't think it should have a battery? Nothing in my comment said that "these should passive, battery-less devices. What I'd like a more efficient system with a Li-Poly battery that could both be smaller, last longer, and quickly recharged possibly with a small external battery pack yuou can hang on the door handle for a half-hour or so
Yep, the monthly fee is a non-starter for me as well as a residential homeowner.  Firmware upgrades should be built into the cost of the initial purchase.  I don't mind giving them a little cash now and then software app upgrades that add value but at my discretion.  Seems like this product is not being marketed to me.  Timeshare managers perhaps?
