  • Samsung looks to reinvent Apple's Genius Bar with WeWork 'care centers'

Quote: "Service is a hassle. I know I'm going to have to take time out of my day to do it," McConnell said.

Yeh man, that's partly why Apple is so successful... 'servicing' is required so infrequently, time-outs needn't be factored into schedules!

PS : I started with a Mac in 1992 for magazine publishing and currently use an iMac, iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch 3... and have never needed a single Apple item to be 'serviced' in 25 years.
I've been using Apple since 85' and I have had to use the Genius Bar on several occasions. Always excellent help that knows what they're doing, maybe a few min late at most and always leave satisfied. That's why even though I don't always like everything Apple does every piece on computing and phone hardware I buy comes from them.

  • How to take advantage of the iPhone X's wireless and fast-charging capabilities

I don't expect a wireless charger in the box or anything but to still just stick in the same 5 watt charger that came with the gen 1 iPhone is really pretty cheapo IMO. How much is it to stick a high watt charger in there.

Great early review. Agree about the disappointment of fast OR wireless charger not being included in the box. Would have also been nice to have AirPods included with the purchase as well.
you mean to wipe out their margins? I mean thats $300 worth of merchandise you want for free.
I agree. However I do think they should be packaging with a higher power charger at this point. What they put in is pathetic

I think calling it a half way point is a good description. The features are cool and cutting edge. But it will take a few more years to fully realize their potential in software and use cases. Also, at ~$1,500 including decent storage, an Apple case, AppleCare, and tax (6%) it feels more like a tech showcase than a phone that most people will really buy. Even as a huge Apple fan without a budget per se, I don't think I could justify spending more than $800 on a new phone.
I have a issue justifying spending $800 on old tech phone when for a small percentage increase you get the first of the new tech. I was undecided between an iPhone 8 256 and an iPhone X 256. That decided me on going the iPhone X route

  • Apple updates iPhone X preorders with improved delivery estimates

Most likely combination of a lot of people double ordered and cancelled one and increased manufacturing. Hoping my Nov 17-24 eventually gets moved up.
