  • New Chinese cybersecurity law will force Apple to keep data on local servers, aid gov't. searches

I wonder how Steve would handle this, the real question is what's the plan, I'm sure Tim saw this coming a long time ago and began planing for it, guess we'll see

I also feel Apple's stores could go a long way in selling the Apple prestige and desirebility, I mean I get the low income and high prices but I live in South Africa and there are like three Ferrari shops I know of and not a single Apple brick and mortar store in the hole of Africa ?, maybe in time, sucks though
Could a South Africa Apple Store generate the same amount of revenue like all other Apple Stores?
No, but Could help establish the Apple fandom, I probably the only person I know who even cares about Apple like that, look the danm thing doesn't even have to be big just a small little thing with a 50 staff members generate buzz when they release products, I mean that question could be asked of Inida really, the point is Apple isn't thought of here as it should be most consider it the same as all the trash because their devices are bought at the same places and smaller Apple stores that don't cost that much to maintain could show the "Apple Difference" with out needing to generate a million dollars a day, an investment in a future market, no ?

  • Concept imagines OLED Touch Bar on Apple's wireless Magic Keyboard

I have doubts about an external TouchID reader. I think if it came to the desktop it would end up being on the machine, not on the keyboard. You don't want to transmit that stuff wirelessly.
But you already do with you're iPhone for Apple Pay on Safari on older Macs, I'm really perplexed by Apple's inconsistent implementation of TouchID, all Macs should have gotten it years ago also the Siri remote shouldn't been released with out it their current solution for payment authentication there has too much friction IMO, confusing

  • Apple limits 2016 MacBook Pro models to 16GB of RAM to maximize battery life

Considering even laptops remain plugged into the wall the vast majority of the time (most are desktop replacements nowadays anyway and have been for years!) a 32GB option should at least be offered, with the disclaimer saying such an upgrade could considerably reduce battery life, so people would know what they're getting into, that way Apple would be off the hook.
Yeah as if that'll stop the never ending bitchin' , they'd just say "well such and such a laptop by such and such last for 2 weeks with 128G RAM and 15T SSD, why can Apple's ? I mean who needs a less heavy laptop ?" not that it's necessary but it's Apple that's kinda what they do, people always act surprised when it happens even though they are well aware of it coming long before it does. The iPhone' success has been both a blessing and a curse the danm thing makes too much money for it not to be the senter of the universe at Apple allowing us all to have great iPhones every year like clock work but that has to have its costs
