I hope to God that this is just people reading too much into Tim misspeaking as this would be a most terrible idea. It's hard enough using the pheblet one-handed imagine having to pop sone extra tool to effectively operate, from barley one hand to unavoidably two hands to use you're phone, really ?, this is the kind of stupidity that should be left to Sammy and all her geek fan boys, the apple pencil is fine where it is there is no need for a pro iPhone because the is no pro phone user this is just people yearning for some eye popping' innovation from Apple as it's been a long dry spell and SJ's absents is sorely felt but emulating Sammy isn't the way, things aren't that desperate just yet
You do realize that if Apple brings Pencil support to the iPhone, they are not likely to remove "finger support", right?  You need to head back to the pharmacy for a refill.
Yes I do realize that stylus doesn't mean fingers go away my point that you aren't getting is that the stylus turns the iPhone into a PDA pre 2007 iPhone and THAT would be a terribly backward way of thinking you're rational that you want to be able to scribble on you're phone like its a little note pad tells a lot about you're level of thinking the is very little game from using a stylus it just sounds very interesting and cool but in reality adds very little to every day use cases that's why Samsung where the first to implement it cause they like useless gimmicks please explane to me this great problem the that theiphone is suffering from that a stylus would uniquely solve, everyone is going on and on about how great having a stylus would be but Apple solves problems not nota dressing niches that do not aply to the vast majority not especially to something as widely used as the iPhone most start by thinking it be cool if ? And Apple starts by thinking wouldn't it be quite useful if ? So be for you start throwing insults that add nothing to the discussion except expose you're ignorance explaine to everyone what great problem the stylus solves

  • Latest rumor pegs secure iris scanner for Apple's 2017 iPhone

I really don't think so. Apple has put a lot into Touch ID ($400 million to acquire that Israeli company + 2 years of R&D), and nothing more than Touch ID is truly needed on iOS devices. That's the real gaping hole in this rumor. It's just not needed.
When the rumours of a fingerprint scanner were first being reported I thought it was a gimmicky feature. After all, all other such solutions were considerably poor. Even when I accounted for Apple's level of detail I didn't fully grasp just now secure and fast Apple could make what was to become Touch ID.

Perhaps the same can be said for an iris scanner, and perhaps it's not even for use in a phone.
Agreed I actually think what they might do with it if and when they do Is that it unlocks you're phone so you can see the notification centre, especially correlating well with the new raise to wake feature in iOS 10, not a replacement of touch ID but addition to log-you-in and a more secure finger print scan to authenticate, then only when YOU raise you're phone to wake it will it show any information, cool not ?
