DOJ goes after US citizen for developing anti-ICE app
pixeltini said:Hmm, who could have guessed interfering with law enforcement efforts would be illegal? It's no different than attempting to block a police vehicle doing its duty to protect Americans against those who would do us harm. You know… gang members, drug dealers, convicted felons, cartel thugs, human traffickers, and so on. -
DOJ goes after US citizen for developing anti-ICE app
Again, I must point out there have been no riots in Los Angeles. Unless you count no-badge no-uniform secret police marauding and kidnapping, or LAPD violent overreaction to protests.I live across the street from the Tower Theatre Apple Store, which is more than a mile away from the protests at the federal building. The store was hit late on Sunday night by an organized group in a rental truck. Just local criminals taking advantage of a situation created by big-time criminals in the White House. -
Crime blotter: Los Angeles, retrievals, and a suspended air crew
I live across the street from Apple Tower Theatre. The looting of the store was not "amid the protests against ICE raids." The store is over a mile away from the federal building at the center of the protests. This theft was planned for late Sunday night when police were overstretched and could not respond. The Wall Street Journal reported that the looters, dozens of them in masks and carrying radios, had a U-Haul truck. The hit on the Apple Store took five minutes.
This was small time local criminals taking advantage of the situation created by the big time criminals in the White House.

AirTags key to discovery of Houston's plastic recycling deception
This piece is a shoddy partial recitation of a news report from a Houston TV station: https://www.khou.com/article/news/local/houston-recycling-tracking-device-plastic/285-0d6899cd-48ad-4115-92a8-ca18a4c51648
The original report isn't cited, as would be normal journalism practice, but a broken link to the KHOU is included in the article. The shoddiness is revealed in how Ms. Deason is referred to in the article.
