  • Apple CEO Tim Cook to make announcement in Austin on Friday [u]

I’m from Texas. Please from now on, editor, just say Austin, TX not Austin, Tex.! I lived there for a while for school at the Texas School for the Deaf and know what this city called. So, use Austin, TX instead! And also I doubt that Apple is call the new iPhone as “iPhone 8” because it’s for September of 2018. The new iPhone anniversary is for 10 years anniversary after the original iPhone release to market for first time in 2007. Just let call this as “iPhone Anniversary” rather than call this “iPhone 8”, it sound STUPID!

  • Report claims Apple expanding CareKit, working on iPhone health record repository feature

This is not my experience.  My doctors have offices at the largest hospital in the U.S.: New York Presbyterian Hospital (formerly Columbia-Presbyterian) and while they may personally own iOS devices, I've never seen them use one in the office (and many parts of that hospital don't even pick up a Verizon or AT&T signal anyway and there's no public WiFi).    One of my doctors still largely keeps hand-written notes and others do enter info into a computer system - but it's a PC-based enterprise system for the hospital.    And when I get lab work done, which due to my insurance company I have to do at a lab outside the hospital, they FAX over the results so that data doesn't even get entered into the system.

So I don't see any signs that Apple has "ubiquity" in the U.S. health care system if they don't have the largest and aside from getting a copy of my blood work report, I've never been able to get copies of my records, not that I need them.    I see no signs at this hospital that they're doing anything with Apple or anyone else that would get me my records, electronically or otherwise.

I think we've got a long way to go.
Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas is the largest Medical Center in the world.

  • Apple release of iTunes on Windows Store foreshadows 'tipping point,' Microsoft exec says

"s"? Are you fu**ing serious? Damn no originality anymore.

Apple really needs to make Apple TV more desirable. Give windows users ZERO reason to purchase content outside of iTunes.

If we didn't know that Windows 10 is the last version of Windows (I'm sure I read that somewhere), here's where I'd postulate that MS would release Windows every year. Next year would be Windows 11, followed by Windows 11 S, then 12 followed by 12 S, etc.

However, now, they'll retain the "10" and just append different letters:

Windows 10 S  (School edition - the current one).

    Windows 10 U  (Ultimate edition - best of Win10 and Win10 S).

Windows 10 C  (Convergence edition - everything converges - HoloLens, Laptops, Tablets).

Windows 10 K  (Killer edition - the next iOS killer).

    Windows 10 S  (School edition 2!).

    "SUCKS" lmao good one

  • Apple invention details deep Siri integration with Messages

This would be awesome for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Speech Impaired to use Siri based text so they can communicate with Siri. I'm glad that Apple finally invent this. I've been wait for long time because at first Siri is worthless for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Speech Impaired.
