The courts have spoken on a lot of issues, and the administration has proven time and again that they just don't give a shit.

Nothing about this administration makes sense. You could make a case that NVidia guy for going on that trip, given the announcement of a bazillion dollar AI complex that will send loads of business to NVidia, but nothing about this trip was relevant for Apple. Why should the head of a consumer products company waste the better part of a week on a political boondoggle?

If there isn't a massive "blue wave" in next November, all hope is lost.

I'm going to so be pissed and relieved when, in the near future, Trump "suspends" this one and the price of AAPL surges back. Pissed because the profit all his insider-trader cronies will make; relieved because I have so much invested in AAPL.

I wish I were so confident that his corruption outweighs his idiocy that I could afford to put my money where my mouth is (by acting like an insider trader knowing he's going to orchestrate a market boost for AAPL soon). Instead I'm just going to keep holding on and ride out the Trump chaos.

Finally, I would add that despite what he said on social media, if Trump follows thru on this threat against Apple, I would be shocked if it wasn't implemented as a tax on smartphones (perhaps phones costing more than $300) rather than iPhones specifically. (The dude LOVES tariffs after all.) I have no reason to believe this would benefit Samsung. (Unless South Korea gives him a superyacht or something, of course.)

Ironically, I wrote this post thinking I was responding to the earlier thread. I hadn't seen this update. So yeah, I was right. heh.

Apple Investors must be frustrating now due to poor stock performance (downhill for 8 days in a row). 

Tim Cook.. If you are reading this, you are cooking Apple and if you have no idea how to navigate, step down. 

If you are basing your investments on stock performance over an 8-day period, then a) you shouldn't be investing and b) no one should listen to your suggestions about who should lead Apple.

Also, it is not up to Tim Cook to respond publicly to every moronic thing posted on social media by one of the worst humans in history.
