AppleCare+ moves to subscription-only model
This is actually a consumer-friendly move. Rather surprising.
Some of us with commitment issues, don't want long-term agreements.

Apple Maps shows users the Gulf of Mexico when searching for 'Gulf of America'
Second to last sentence: "It walks a fine line between showing the true name of the location and satisfying users that search for the term, and it may be enough."
Not sure "true name" is a good term to use in this context. I'm sure the Gulf was called something else before the Europeans arrived. So what is "true"? It depends on when you ask and which country's naming conventions you follow.
