Apple's original and delayed HomePod finally shipped seven years ago
Our set of originals have moved around in our home. For the first few years they were on my desk, which was in an open space adjacent to our kitchen. Listened to them while I worked and when we cooked and ate. Then at the end of the first two years of the pandemic, we moved our of our townhouse and into a house. I had put together a 13 channel Dolby Atmos system at the start of the pandemic to fuel our home theater. However, I was too busy to set up our full sound system, so for the first six months or so, I used the HomePods with our big TV. The surround sound was surprisingly good with two speakers. Eventually I installed our full setup. Now the HomePods live in our master bath, still going strong. -
