Windows 11 leaks invoke Windows 10x design, tease new Start menu
ITGUYINSD said:If macOS is so great and Windows sucks so bad, why is it that on my modern Windows computers I can launch an Office app (Word, Excel, Outlook) and it's ready to work within 2 seconds (if not instantly), yet I do the same thing on my BRAND NEW M1 Mac, and it's bounce, bounce, bounce on the dock 9 times, then FINALLY, I can work? Want to use Affinity apps? Windows launches almost instantly, and on the Mac, over 20 (yes, TWENTY+) bounces on the dock before it's ready (up to 27 bounces).
And you say the registry sucks? Puh-leez...Try this. Press and hold ⌃(ctrl) while launching Affinity then select Clear from the dialog that will appear. This should reset the app. -
UK to investigate Apple and Google's 'effective duopoly'
I don’t know why they can possibly expect? You’re not exactly preventing competition and holding back the little guy when Microsoft couldn’t compete for crying out loud. Market preferences are not going to shift and OEMs and developers are not going to want to support yet another platform that further complicates their businesses. -

Apple debuts new MacBook Air with Apple Silicon M1 chip
Disappointed by the no design refresh. iPad Pro style thin bezel screens and Face ID should have been included in the new MacBooks. Every other PC manufacturer is now making top line notebooks with modern edge to edge screen designs and Apple is still shipping a machine that looks almost identical to what they first released in 2015. Face ID is the most baffling thing of all. The Mac is the best suited platform to unlock the power of Face ID and it’s the only platform where it’s not available. -
