  • EU antitrust agency may not fine Apple much to avoid tariff war escalation

Let’s not focus on moving goalposts and instead simply be glad someone is standing up for Apple in the face of abusive and corrupt foreign powers.
3 countries having North American geographical areas are on the "15 least corrupt countries list" according to transparency.org.
U.S. is not one of them. U.S. is globally #28 and #5/6 in North America. Did you try to fix your own house first?

    I guess not.
The White House is now a Tesla showroom funded by taxpayers while the next round of tariffs affects everyone but Tesla. The art of being a back scratching swamp creature.

All of this for an article based on hearsay from a lobbyist. Have you considered that EU can't keep fines and has no smartphone production to protect?

Apple holds 10x more followers on YouTube than Nvidia. It doesn't translate into viewers. Yes - some iPhone users have Apple TV but in terms of buzz and getting YouTube views the keynotes from Apple are not selling ticket.
I'd bet those 37M Nvidia views are the majority of all the views. Some may only get the info via other sources, but with Apple it is picked up by an excessive number of websites, podcasts, and even local news stations where clips will be played.
Those interested in Nvidia are actively seeking information while the Apple eco-system is more "we don't need to look at this". Blogs for gamers, crypto, and AI blogs all add to the buzz and the 128% growth by Nvidia show where the excitement is. Growth at Apple continues to be below inflation.

The current format doesn't get viewers matching the size of Apple. Not even when introducing Apple Intelligence. Is staying with the current format the right choice?

There’s nothing inherently wrong with Tim or any of the other current crop of presenters when it comes to “getting the word out.” But Applle doesn’t have Steve anymore and nobody could capture an audience quite like he could
Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, AMD, AWS,... they all do live to get that extra energy. None of them have Jobs.
And who watches those? Who is blown away by those?
Those being interested in their products.
The iPhone launch 2024 keynote has been streamed 26 million times on YouTube. WWDC 2024 with all the AI hit 12 million.
The Nvidia GTC launch from 9 days ago is already at 37 million.

  • Turkey launches probe into Apple's alleged price fixing

Tired of regions and countries calculating fines based on sales outside their jurisdiction.

  • Consumers stick to the edges of Apple's 'good, better, best' iPad pricing philosophy

it's an old pattern. Apple has long cultivated a premium image, and its users have consistently proven willing to pay for it.

    • 38% pay premium for iPad Pro. For iPhone Pro it is +50%.
    • On iPhone the mid-tier is doing aroung 40%. iPad it is 15% with Air.
    • 47% buy the base iPad or mini while iPhone SE 3rd gen reached 6% when launched.
    • iPad Air is now available in 2 sizes but is bought by 1/3 fewer than before.

Stating that users "consistenly proven willing to pay for it (premium)" is not correct. Those buying iPads have clearly voted for the base model. The question is: "Can Apple make the mid-tier iPad interesting to users?" Making it more expensive and throwing huge processors at it has caused 1/3 to leave it. Why? And how can it be fixed? That is the article I would like to read.
