Well, it seems Apple Intelligence is insanely great by functionality - not by name. A new golden era.

iPad Air (2024) review: Not the cheapest, and not the best, but still great
JustSomeGuy1 said:AppleInsider said:[...] but overall the line still lacks excitement.
Air M2 is a stale mix of the final M2 chips taken from the lowest bin with the least number of functional cores. Air M2 is likely the last major 5nm product to ship with iPhone 12 (2020) being the first. 2020 desktop tech in a 2024 mid-range premium tablet would make even Samsung ashamed. Add a USB-C connector required by politicians and 13". That is all of the innovation Apple could muster for Air.
Apple didn't even care enough to make the new keyboard work with Air, there i still no FaceID (this isn't iPad SE), and iPad is still the only range without MagSafe (mac, iPhone, watch, AVP all have MagSafe), and why couldn't it get ProMotion... wouldn't make it OLED. It could have received A17 (Pro) for 3nm efficiency, far more AI power to allow future functionality, and a modern GPU - but no.
iPad Air M2 is going to deprecate faster than sliced bread. -

But an expert needs to step up to the mark and be a decision maker; draw a line in the sand and give an objective score. I like the score 3.5.

First alternative to Apple Wallet is ready to launch in EU
wonkothesane said:Sounds like a glorious future for consumers where multiple “wallet” apps will have exclusive cards, forcing the the consumer to permanently switch wallet apps, Such a gain from a usability standpoint! Apart from the little fact that other wallets simply may not work during your trip so abroad.
I would much rather have local banks work on this than any American company. In addition this will make it easier to migrate to/from Android.
Wouldn't be bad for us to see Apple work harder for our money than iPhone 12/13/14/15. Spending 4 years on adjusting lens positions, changing the FaceID island, and adding USB-C at USB 2.0 speed for iPhone 15 - we're talking performance available 24 years ago and selling it as an upgrade. We need competition. -
Apple and OpenAI allegedly reach deal to bring ChatGPT functionality to iOS 18

If the Flintstones had access to these options, no doubt Siri would be a good fit for the times and it doesn't surprise me that its due for a huge AI overhaul (according to rumours). However, one of Apple's main Siri issues seems to be that there isn't one Siri for all devices but multiple Siris, all performing differently.
Fact is you could have made even more by switching your investment to Microsoft. Apple launched Neural Engine 7 years ago and had all the time to go first with LLM integrations. It seems Cook got side-tracked by copying Musk with Car and copying Zuckerberg with AVP. At least Cook didn't also copy Segway. And now we have Cook actively filling the coffers of Bill Gates.
Our devices to be powered by Microsoft innovations. There is no way to make this look good.
