The 2019 Mac Pro will be what Apple wants it to be, and it won't, and shouldn't, make ever...
If the new Mac Pro does not have user accessible PCI slots, upgradable RAM and storage, etc., then Apple shouldn't bother with it.
It has already destroyed its goodwill by neglecting the 5,1 and 6,1 models (the 6,1 models also suffering from utter uselessness for those who needed to use internal PCI hardware).
Stop over-thinking and then trying to tell people what they REALLY need and listen to what USERS say they really need.
2 years to come out with a new tower? That's . . . pathetic. -
Which Iris Pro is in the current MacBook 15 base model?
The "current" 15" non-TB model uses Iris Pro 6200 graphics. It uses Haswell architecture, first used by Apple in the MBP line in the Late 2013 models and still in use today in the 15" model you referenced. I don't know if it has been changed at all from its introduction, but don't believe it has been. -
Apple's MacBook refresh buys time for bigger changes
StrangeDays said:k2kw said:rogifan_new said:Is there a reason the MacBook is still $1299? You'd think they could get the price down on that and finally kill the Air once and for all. I hate when products hang around just to meet a price point. -
Apple SVP Phil Schiller addresses Touch Bar, other MacBook Pro concerns
"[T]his is the best notebook that can be made with the greatest technology."
Nonsense and other words. If they'd get past this obsession with thin, they could have made a laptop that would support more than 16 GB, better graphics, longer battery life, etc.
And the price is simply a rip-off - the same 16 GB RAM/256 GB for 20% more? Absurd. -
Ask for advise: 15" MacBook Pro 2015 or 13" MacBook Pro 2016
