Alibaba to manipulate Apple Intelligence output in China for censorship

Today's equivalent is having thousands of bot accounts posting/reposting propaganda, liking/supporting it, and generally drowning out any voices on social media which don't conform to those of whoever funds those bot accounts (and social media platforms in general). All the influencers & content creators who are hungry for eyeballs/money simply fall in line or risk having their content pushed to the bottom of feeds. That, combined with overall human behaviour of wanting to be part of the group, pretty much takes care of anyone who tries to question things and express dissenting opinions.
To make it relevant: money also tends to control what shows up at the top of Google's search results (and even in them as a lot of content seems to be omitted these days). Which also affects what content AI is trained on/uses.

Apple Invites has Sherlocked party organizing app Partiful
Anyone in the tech industry long enough learns the lesson that if you stand still for too long (rest on the success from a single innovation), you're dead in the water. Anything successful will inevitably be cloned in time. It's happened to Apple throughout their history too, and the only way they survived was by continually innovating. -

Much delayed next generation CarPlay is still coming, says Apple

I don't really understand why? It must cost them a lot of money to develop their own systems, and do they make money from it? does anyone actually ever subscribe to their SatNav updates?! do they generate an income some other way?
EDIT: I give up on trying to highlight and add links to text. The text editor on this site is just plain awful.
