  • M1 Max, M2 Max, M4 Max compared - how high-end Apple Silicon has evolved

Where's M3 Max in this mix?
Nowhere. This is mostly focused on the new Mac Studio.
So then shouldn't it also include the M3 Ultra?

  • Alibaba to manipulate Apple Intelligence output in China for censorship

And in the USA, the US Government will manipulate Apple Intelligence to reply that the body of water officially known internationally as "Gulf of Mexico" is instead supposedly "Gulf of America".

LOL! The US Government doesn't proactively manipulate Apple Intelligence results, unlike the Chinese authorities. They can't, so "Yeah but whaddabout" doesn't equate.
The US has always been more subtle with their propaganda machine. Using the money/funding behind large media corporations as control rather than overt government policies. Seeing people gathering independently, questioning the status quo, and ending a war + toppling a government (e.g. the Vietnam war/Nixon) opened their eyes to what happens when a large part of the population stops passively absorbing news and starts questioning things deeper than the surface.

Today's equivalent is having thousands of bot accounts posting/reposting propaganda, liking/supporting it, and generally drowning out any voices on social media which don't conform to those of whoever funds those bot accounts (and social media platforms in general). All the influencers & content creators who are hungry for eyeballs/money simply fall in line or risk having their content pushed to the bottom of feeds. That, combined with overall human behaviour of wanting to be part of the group, pretty much takes care of anyone who tries to question things and express dissenting opinions.

To make it relevant: money also tends to control what shows up at the top of Google's search results (and even in them as a lot of content seems to be omitted these days). Which also affects what content AI is trained on/uses.

  • Apple Invites has Sherlocked party organizing app Partiful

Anyone in the tech industry long enough learns the lesson that if you stand still for too long (rest on the success from a single innovation), you're dead in the water. Anything successful will inevitably be cloned in time. It's happened to Apple throughout their history too, and the only way they survived was by continually innovating.

  • 'Doom' can even be played on Apple's Lightning to HDMI adapter

Such a testament to highly optimized programming. I grew up on books like Michael Abrash's Zen of Graphics Programming and all the clever tricks they used to make those games run as fast as possible. It was truly an art form.

  • Much delayed next generation CarPlay is still coming, says Apple

From the noises car manufacturers have been making I don't think many (if any) of them will ever allow their cars to becomes dependant on Apple (or any other) software.

I don't really understand why? It must cost them a lot of money to develop their own systems, and do they make money from it? does anyone actually ever subscribe to their SatNav updates?! do they generate an income some other way?
You bet they do. Harvesting all sorts of information about your driving habits and where you go is worth a lot of money. The FTC recently had to ban them from selling information to insurance companies.

EDIT: I give up on trying to highlight and add links to text. The text editor on this site is just plain awful.
