  • Consumer Reports ranks iPhone X behind Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 series in testing

"The iPhone X has the best camera of the phones it tested. The iPhone 8 -- not the iPhone 8 Plus -- had the second-best camera."

That's odd. I was under the impression that the iPhone 8 Plus camera was identical to the iPhone X camera.
They are very close but not the same. Besides the front camera differences in the X and the 8 plus. Both back cameras on the phone have the same wide angle lens of f/1.8 aperture but differ in the telephoto lens. The X has a f/2.4 aperture while the 8 plus has a  f/2.8 aperture. I couldn’t tell you how much of differences a 2.8 aperture to a 2.4 aperture makes but that’s the difference.

  • Target launches 'Wallet' mobile payments platform, continues to ignore Apple Pay

It wasn’t too long ago that Target had a massive data breach. Can Target really afford not to use the best, the most popular and most secure forms of payment. I guess only time will tell.

  • Apple pushes out iOS 11.2 with Apple Pay Cash, 7.5-watt wireless charging, date bug fix

I just spoke with applecare.  If you were not part of the beta, apple pay cash is still not available even with the new update.  The person on the phone is saying they are getting flooded with calls about apple pay cash because the announcement was misleading.
Rene Ritchie at iMore says it'll follow in about a week. This is the week that Apple seemingly couldn't do anything right.
It seems like this was always the plan but the bug pushed Apple to release early. Making sure the servers that will handle money transactions are ok to go is what smart mature companies do. Even if Apple were to delay Apple cash after next week that’s still not something to lose ones mind about. No one wants money they send to a friend not to get there. What Apple does do right is make sure critical things work correctly.

With Waymo starting driverless rides in Chandler, AZ, Apple needs to be playing catch-up fast.   We will definitely see some real public progress in the next two years.
Yes, the fact that they were years behind Motorola and Nokia is why the iPhone never really took off.

The race hasn’t even started and you think Apple is already playing catch-up?

Thank you that's what I'm saying this race to driverless vehicles is a marathon not a sprint. It will be awhile until this technology is reliable and safe enough that regular people won't blink at a driverless car going down their street.

  • Video: Apple's iPhone X speakers sound off louder than iPhone 8 Plus

Hmm that’s interesting I was checking the speakers on my iPhone 8 and my brothers iPhone X and we both agreed that the 8 was a tad bit louder.
