Apple customers start receiving the iPhone 16e
My wife lost her phone five days ago. It was an iPhone 14. We still owe AT&T another 10 months of that phone so we are certainly looking for an inexpensive iphone. We are really not in to the refurbished game. That’s fine if many or most of you are but the vast majority of people I know aren’t buying refurbished electronics when they are often only 10 to 20% cheaper than new. I see the 16e is getting a lot of run as an iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 replacement but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are people out there who think it’s a perfect replacement for an iPhone 14 as well. -

Leaked iPhone 15 Pro images back up solid state button rumor
If you like the current mute switch you probably don’t have, 1) short fingernails, 2) large hands or 3) don’t have a case. The current mute switch implementation has been annoying to operate since it’s inception and good luck seeing the orange chip if you have a red phone or a case, I think a solid state switch with option for a long-touch with haptic feedback would be great.
As for the volume controls, I wonder if they could implement a slider effect using the solid state button? Also, many people use the volume+power buttons to take screenshots. How would this work if all buttons are solid state?
