  • All the new features and changes in iOS 14 beta 3

    You should saying which this beta 3 are for. Developer Beta or Public Beta. I check my iPhone XS Max and it said, “iOS 14.0 Your software is up to date” on Beta 2.

    The Beta for public is not released yet. The Developer Beta 3 is the only options so far. Once the Public Beta is released, it will likely be the same build as Beta 3 (barring some unforeseen problems). The features will be identical, public just isn’t out yet.

  • Apple rolls out improved Maps to all users in the US

    The only issue I’ve encountered once the update rolled out to my area (Midwest), was Apple Maps wants to take me a mile past my destination (work) so that I can make a U Turn, and head back to destination...instead of just turning left into the parking lot. Everything else about the update is amazing.

  • Apple working to integrate grade crossings in Maps after federal lobby

    Maybe I'm missing something from the article, but, since when is it the map maker's responsibility to tell you about the grade of the crossing? We've had paper maps for decades that were used for navigation. It was always the driver's responsibility to watch the road and obey the rules of the road. Being sleepy while driving is not an excuse. If you're too sleepy to drive safely, then you pull over. That's always been the rule of thumb. If Jose was too sleepy to know that he was about to drive over some tracks, then he is at fault. Not google maps because they didn't warn him about upcoming train tracks.
