  • CarPlay becoming pivotal purchase priority for new car buyers

Yeah, I just bought a new car in December. Car Play was a must and ruled out a few cars because of it. The dealers were frustrated and promised that a "future update" would get support for it. I told them that I don't buy on promises of a future update. They know they are losing sales for not supporting Car Play. I'm sure that feedback is getting back to the manufacturers.

  • Activists stage 'die-ins' at French Apple stores to protest impact of tax avoidance on soc...

I wish I were there to step on them as they get in my way while laying on the floor. These publicity stunts are stupid. If they were serious about change, they would lobby their own government for changing the tax laws. These are just attention seekers. I say, step on them.

The only time I ever felt burned by buying an Apple product was with the iPad 3. Less than 6 months after its release out came the vastly superior iPad 4 with a CPU that would drive the retina display for a good few iOS cycles, unlike the lemon I bought that became practically unusable with iOS 7.
I went from the iPad 2 to the iPad Air and was very glad to have skipped both the iPad 3 and iPad 4 as they were both compromised as compared to the iPad Air.  I currently use the 9.7" iPad Pro (A9X) and am looking forward to upgrading to the next model, hopefully based on the A11X.

  • France plans to take Apple and Google to court over 'abusive commercial practices'

I'm not sure I understand the basis of this argument. Developers set their prices. Nobody is forcing developers to publish for either platform. Apple and Google have their own stores and they get to set the rules. Apple and Google should respond by banning French developers from participating in their stores. That seems like a fair response....

Lets get to the point, Apple can't keep making this ludicrous profit on its iPhones for ever, so what is the trigger point to the start of the inevitable decline?
I realize you're just trolling here, but I'll bite and shut this down rather quickly.  We now have more than a decade of history which demonstrates how you are wrong.  If anything, the trend continues to go in the direction which is opposite of your claim.  Apple's average selling prices continues to rise while the commodity based Android devices continue to drop.   The Android flagship phones have margins on par with Apple, but the problem is, nobody wants to buy them.  There are few Android fans who can afford such high end phones, and for most who can afford a high end phone, most find iPhones to be the better purchase.
