  • Compared: M2 iPad Pro vs M1 iPad Pro

    https://youtu.be/452rsMUM07Q

My sentiment. Such a stupid release.
What's stupid about it?  So, you think it would have been better for Apple to keep the iPad Pro stagnant with the M1 chip and skip this release entirely?  Hint:  This release isn't for existing M1 iPad Pro users.

Looks like a nice spec bump upgrade.  My only gripe with the iPad Pro is that they should bring the mini-LED to the 11" model.

The A15 is a nice upgrade.  Now, if only the Apple TV had a few decent games...

I STRONGLY suggest people avoid LINKSYS at all costs.  Omg.  Total nightmare.   Their “technical support” is ALL off shore and you’ll spend HOURS and DAYS on the phone with them bc of issues with other HomeKit devices.  Also Linksys / Belkin is really now Foxconn… and I promise you this equipment is made to allow hacks into your system. Their “authentication system” is a DISASTER and 1000% hackable.  Anybody but this company.  Seriously. Remember people - these “gateways” are the way into your homes.  So choose your gateway wisely.
This is precisely why so many folks wish Apple hadn’t abandoned routers.  As much as I love Apple’s products and attempts at safeguarding privacy, they’ve really dropped the ball and due to this weak link security is compromised overall for all Apple customers at home.  Maybe with the Matter rollout this fall Apple will surprise and delight us with a home hub / WiFi router.  One can dream.
Yeah, we were all hoping for Apple to get back in the game.  I got tired of waiting for that to happen.  Also, as good as Apple is, they tend to be stingy with things like Ethernet ports on their routers, etc.  I don’t mind paying a premium price, but I expect to have premium features for that price.  Still, I agree… I never had a problem with Apple routers and they were always maintained and secured.

Sounds like a bunch of BS to me.  I recently switched from a Negear gaming router to a Linksys Atlas Max 6e mesh system.  Setup was a breeze.  Coverage is great.  No issues at all, including my HomeKit devices.  Everything just worked.  I can’t vouch for Linksys tech support because I didn’t need it.

On a side note, I move from the Netgear router because one of their updates introduced a nasty latency bug that effectively kills gaming about 2 years ago.  It was never fixed.  Lots of complaints on their support forums.  No response from Netgear.  The only workable solution was to reinstall older firmware.  That also meant not getting firmware and security updates.  Horrible.
