Apple to reportedly unveil iPad Pro, MacBook Air replacement, Mac mini at Oct. 30 event

Is USB-C for power better? It's really not, it's consuming a valuable port and MagSafe could be argued was an excellent design. USB-C for power feels like a step backward in that regard.
I was at an Apple event recently and watching the presenter carry his new MacBook Pro around with various dongles hanging off to be able to connect devices was quietly ridiculous. -
New Stockholm city council vows to block unpopular Apple store plans
The issue is presented in a simplified form here.
First of all it wouldn’t be one building replacing another building; there would be changes to the surrounding open park area.
Secondly, replacing a food business with a business selling tech hardware could easily be argued to further limit the availability of space for people to just relax and enjoy the open park area.
The truth is that I favor the plan, but tbh it’s only because it’s Apple… It’s all due to me liking the brand and style; and I’m not sure if that should be enough to like these plans. -
Review: New Tile Mate and Tile Pro with replaceable batteries, premium subscription plan

I get the tech behind it all, and I just don't see any logical reasoning for going without a tracker (if you need one) just based on whether or not it's Bluetooth 5 or not? -

Tesla to restock sold-out wireless phone charger, cut price by $16

Any time you connect anything to anything there's a potential security risk that could be exploited, and by using a power transfer method with minimum transference of data you are limiting the potential damage; as well as making it a heck harder/more costly to target you.
In the past people have been able to sell, give away or just drop chargers/batterypacks in desirable locations to then be able to gain access to passwords/accounts/data from people. Using a wireless charger (based on the QI standard) you lower the risk of being hacked even if you do use an unknown device.
Then again, you could just use any ol' wired thing if you are able to simply not connect the datawires at all. (I believe http://syncstop.com/ to be a commercial product that does just that.)
