  • San Francisco doctor charged with possessing child pornography in iCloud

I imagine this will inspire people who have those types of images to either delete them all or move to Android. And I assume Google will implement the same checks at some point so they don't become known as that type of platform. (Maybe they already are.) I can't really see this tech as being helpful to China, Russia, or other dictatorships since people tend not to store self-incriminating photos on their devices. Wait, China might want to find images of Tank Man or Tiananmen Square, since those things never happened. Well, never mind.

  • 2022 Mac Pro said to use Intel Ice Lake Xeon W-3300 CPU

If Apple releases a Mac Pro with Intel inside in 2022, it means existing Intel Mac users will continue to get OS updates for several more years. Sounds good. I expect that someday Apple will have an M-series chip faster than the fastest Xeons, but if it's not for a few more years, no worries.

  • Apple sued over false accusations in Apple Store thefts by impostor

I'd say Apple owes Bah a ton of money, a car, and free Apple devices for life. What a nightmare! What a black eye for Apple!

  • Rumor: New MacBook Pro to debut at WWDC 2021

Why would they need an adapter? They could just use a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable. No adapter needed.
That's not the way it works. When you give presentations you get exactly one end of a standard HDMI cable. The other end of the cable is attached to an Epson projector, which could be on the ceiling.

  • Apple must face lawsuit alleging that 'buying' media on iTunes is misleading

Your are under the obligation of downloading your purchased copy and store it in your possession.
I don't believe Apple allows you to download 4K movies as a file. Maybe this was allowed for lower-res movies, but never for 4K, which Apple is always encouraging us to "buy." In my opinion, we buy the right to stream the content from Apple for the life of the company (Apple). If not, I want a refund of any content that disappears from their servers. The threat of having to refund money to consumers for content that vanishes should always hang over Apple's head to prevent this from happening.
