Two things: 1) Apple sells some of the best displays for its Macs and iPads -- in most cases much better than other manufacturers. They would likely sell the best TV screens. 2) TV manufacturers' remotes are super-complicated and their UX experiences are wretched. I assume Apple would have a simple remote and simple screen UX. (Although their latest TV app is super-fiddly, so maybe not.)

It's not the craziest idea. If the US is going to fund Intel's chip-fab efforts, and Xi seems committed to invading Taiwan, Apple will need US-based foundries or its hardware business will evaporate. Better for Apple to own Intel rather than it going to Samsung or Qualcomm. I'm guessing Apple would only be interested in the foundries, not Intel's chip designs.

I need McDonald's to do this for my iced tea too. McDonalds has its iPhone app which has too many steps and requires you to keep looking at your phone, but they should have a simple CarPlay app to prevent accidents.

One of my Macs doesn't work with AirDrop at all. I keep hoping a system update will fix it, but it's been busted for about a year now with no luck. Same Mac often thinks I'm my wife -- and will swap out my avatar with hers or start calling me by her name. It's my main dev machine so it will be a pain to wipe it and start over.

If Apple or some other company can pull this off, it will be a windfall for that company. If Apple succeeds, it should create a new product line separate from the watch just for glucose monitoring devices.
