Postscript is gone, long live TrueType and OpenType
Nice article. I noticed a few errors, but not a big deal. For example, there were a couple LaserWriters that weren’t PostScript — they used scaled bitmap fonts. Also there’s no mention that Apple’s agreement with Microsoft about supporting TrueType included Microsoft developing a PostScript alternative called TrueImage, based on a PostScript clone by Cal Bauer. -

Thanks, Andrew. A nice article covering something that isn't discussed much. I saw someone a few months ago had trouble running Adobe apps with just 8 GB, so I would suggest everyone buy at least 16GB. Just about all my M-series Macs have 16 and I don't have problems keeping 25+ GUI apps running, including the Adobe ones. -
