iPhone 16e focuses on real needs for regular people
No that’s what the SE was for. The 16e is significantly more expensive and harder to justify for someone just wanting to dip their toe into the Apple Ecosystem. However it’s so stripped down that it’s not really good for people that might be willing to pay $600+ for a good phone. The 16e is neither fish nor fowl, it’s not a good compromise. If they drop the price by $100+ then yeah, maybe. But right now when people ask me about getting an Apple phone I point them elsewhere. In the end, the iPhone SE and iPhone 16e were -- and are -- for people who just want an iPhone. They don't care how fast the chips are, or about taking a 48-megapixel Ultra Pro Max High Resolution photo. -

No, Apple isn't subliminally calling Trump a racist with its iPhone dictation feature
These “Artificial Intelligence” systems, including Apple’s are not ‘intelligent’ at all. They are a statistical algorithm based on frequency of word usage in the training data and interpretation of the waveform of the word spoken. OK, this one is clear enough to attract attention, but try dictating something and watch the screen. The systems, no matter whose you use, very often substitute a word, or two, or three, before they get to the one you want. It’s the nature of the beast. -
