I do think Apple should have stood up though. As the old saying goes “Evil triumphs when good men do nothing”. To just go along is to assure that next time the President will be emboldened.

Apple rolls out security update for iOS 18.3.1, iPadOS 18.3.1, macOS Sequoia 15.3.1
Updated my iPad and found that, in an incredibly bad move for security, on restart it tries to activate Apple Intelligence EVEN IF YOU HAVE IT DISABLED. I don’t knoiw of a better way to dissuade a chunk of your users from applying a critical security patch than this.

iPhone 17 - Eight upgrade-worthy features rumored for fall 2025
Most of these are nice upgrades but not something that would cause me to go out and drop, the not insubstantial, money on a new iPhone. The exception is the 48mpxl chip in the 5x. I almost upgraded to the 16, but when I saw that the 5x was still 12mpxl I held off hoping they would do this with the 17 Pro.
