  • Video: iPhone X vs S9 Plus - Which should you buy?

Having been stuck with the samsung for work and iphone for personal. id go with the apple x phone hands down, plus prefer lightning.

Plus Samsung keeps forking Android writing their OS Tizen more and more causing bad software and malware. ill stick with the safer of the two

  • The 2019 Mac Pro will be what Apple wants it to be, and it won't, and shouldn't, make ever...

Just like with phones those who complain about Apples iphone not able to upgrade storage yet those who buy android for that reason never upgrade, people are either lazy or techinically challenged... I have only ever had the need to upgrade RAM on my Macs and harddrives on occasion when i owned a windows machine... i have a 2012 macbook ram upgraded to 16 gig, and an iMac ram upgraded to 32 gig, mostly to handle photoshop, aperature and lightroom photo manipulations.. Sure if i hit the lottery i’d get a maxed out imac pro and/or tower but i don’t need that kind of power. My macs seem to last me a decade as is. i just gave my niece my 2005 Macbook has 8 gig of ram and surprisingly still runs Adobe Suite 2018.

  • Mazda gives in, to deliver Apple CarPlay support with 2018 Mazda6

i recently bought a 2018 mazda 3 mid level with 6spd manual fully loaded minus nav, they claimed it’d cost $400 to add it, i bought an oem chip online for $85 and nav works fine.. Mazda’s info system is by far one of the worst however.. if they are adding support to apples and android play to their current system why can’t they do a software upgrade for everyone?

  • Photos: Apple's secretive race for new Silicon Valley office space

Why? CA real estate is crazy expensive. The cost of housing in CA in insane. There have been several stories about people leaving CA for cheaper & better places to live (I knew people who did it way back in the 80s). In this age of Slack, Skype, discord, and all the other online meeting & collaboration tools, why build a big office with a high concentration of people in a very expensive place?

As a shareholder, that almost borders on poor use of Apple's money. High real estate cost + high housing costs = higher salaries = less profit. Put a campus somewhere nice, but cheaper to live like NC or Atlanta.
California is an open liberal minded state. The state is welcoming to diversity, same sex couples, environment, basically one of the more friendly states to diversity, and strict environmental rules. I live in NC however the state is still majority governed by ultra conservative christian republicans, who are not friendly towards same sex couples, transgender, they really don’t care about the environment, sure taxes are lower for business, housing is almost as expensive, just property tax is low. Plus NC and other southern states have zero protections for employees. If a company especially a tech company wants the best talent they need to stay in Cali, other west coast or northeast states. Apple is making billions in profits. Personally I think they give to much back to the share holder. Most shareholders are clueless about what’s best for the company, I am a share holder and sure dividends are. nice, but i’d rather see Apple continue to broaden their green environment, offer even better benefits to their employees, raise employee pay.

  • Major Qualcomm shareholder says he opposed Broadcom bid in hopes of settlement with Apple

Apple will continue doing business with broadcom and intel. Qualcomm shot themselves in the head thinking they could mafia style strong hold Apple and its smaller helper companies attempting to double dip and think they’d get away with it. they should continue to lose market share
