Superior modem isn't about the peak speeds, but the performance in low signal conditions. When the conditions are poor, which is more often than ideal, Qualcomm's digital signal processing shines, outperforming Intel modem by a wide margin. That's where a good modem makes a difference, not when the signal is pristine...proline said:
