  • Logitech's Circle View review: the best HomeKit video doorbell money can buy

The downside for me is the visible spectrum LED light with no infra red option.

Logitech's Circle View cameras have infra red LEDs, and the cameras capture video in the invisible-to-you infra red spectrum at night, playing back that video as visible-spectrum black-and-white. What does that mean? It means to the human eye it stays dark outside while the cameras still can capture security video and images. You get the security you need, but without leaving lights on all night or having a visible spotlight turn on every time a rabbit or car goes by.

For this doorbell, they stick with visible-spectrum light and use a visible spotlight, which apparently is either always on or always off. So either you have to have a spotlight on your porch all night, or the camera won't capture any useful video. Presumably, the workaround would be a motion sensor triggering your porch lights to come on. The world does not need more always-on or often-on visible lights at night.
This is a pro for me. Color night vision looks better and the light helps prevent crimes by making the camera apparent rather than hidden and catching it happen. I’d rather it not happen in the first place.

No mention of how this device gets its power. Presumably not from that Apple Watch charger that's inexplicably included in the photo.
It’s a doorbell.. it’s wired… it is powered off your existing doorbell wiring.

What are the subscription fees?  How can your review missed that?!  🤔
There are no subscription fees.! It uses your existing iCloud storage.

  • Grovemade's premium headphone stand review: simple and elegant

All the headphones do is sit there and look pretty? No ability to charge them, perhaps wirelessly while they sit there?

At least with this AirPods Max stand, the headphones are wirelessly charged as they sit there and look pretty!

I’m glad I saw this before it gets deleted. It looks cool, but that slight lean to the left of the headphones would seriously kick my OCD into overdrive. Why can’t they be level?
Comment won’t be deleted and we actually have a review of that stand coming up. Honestly, I prefer the simplicity of the Grovemade stand and it works for all headphones, not just AirPods Max. So if you have any headphones at all this is a good choice

  • Apple Watch 'Series 7' rumor claims glucose monitoring is on the way

I’ve heard this functionality referred to as a “holy grail” of tech bio monitoring — a little bizarre to think Apple and Samsung would achieve it in the very same year...
They won’t. Reset expectations here. This will likely be a “your BG level is trending high. You may be pre-diabetic” thing versus a “Your BG is 97 and rising at 3mg/dL” thing. It will likely be able to detect high levels which are easier to detect and watch those trends overtime. Won’t be a real-time sensor for diabetics.
