  • Valve not giving up, rolls out new Steam Link beta for iOS, Apple TV

It looks like they learned a valuable lesson. If you mess with Apple, you get hammered.
The one that's going to get hammered is Apple, if they continue with this anticompetitive behaviour. The new rule that "transactions taking place within mirrored software do not need to use in-app purchase, provided the transactions are processed on the host device." is probably a way to skirt this.
The part I don't get about people calling Apple's actions as anti-competitive is this - Steam clearly tried to use the iOS app as the doorway to sneak in a method for their users to then purchase their games on external store fronts. So, Steam gets to use the iOS ecosystem, where users are known to be more willing to spend and spend heavily, to then bypass that system and deny Apple their cut of the in-app purchases. If this isn't a shady business practice, I am not sure what is.
Why does Apple deserve a cut for a purchase that they are not processing, for software they are not hosting? Especially when the software that is actually doing the real work of rendering the store and payment interface is on a completely different Apple platform, and for which Apple does not take a cut?

Very befuddling why there are so many Apple cheerleaders for an issue which deprives users of functionality for arbitrary rules.
The moment Apple does something anti-user, suddenly, these cheerleaders become shareholders with an Apple vs The World mentality.

It's so obvious that Apple is in the wrong here.

  • Benchmarks hint at MacBook Pro with Intel's powerful six-core Core i7-8750H

I guess they finally understand that Intel were just as slow as their current speed of refresh...  Their 10nm were way too ambitious, which is why they just keep optimizing the 14nm ever and ever.  Then again, 14nm have its limit, and every new processors are just getting hotter and hotter.  Their microarchitecture haven't change since Skylake either because the same reason (Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, (and refresh?), Cannonlake), making it the longest cycle in their history.
I'm not certain that these specs are legit. There is no i9 support in 10.13.5, let alone 10.13.4 as specified in the benchmark. I guess we'll see.
    It says i7-8750H, not i9-8950HK.

  • Apple's Phil Schiller confirms Steam Link iOS app failed to meet App Store guidelines

Many VNC apps stream live video and send back commands. You could buy the Golden Gate Bridge using a VNC App without giving Apple a cut. How is this any different?

Seriously? You don’t understand the difference?
The Steam Link app streams Steam Big Picture Mode.

A remote desktop app, such as Microsoft Remote Desktop for iOS, can stream Steam Big Picture Mode.

In both cases, Steam Big Picture Mode is running on the computer and not on the iOS device.

    So what's the difference?

  • Video: iPhone X vs OnePlus 6 - Benchmarks

We also tested GFXBench's OpenGL Manhattan Offscreen test at 1080p to avoid resolution differences. Here we can see the iPhone X is a fair bit ahead.

    GFX

Something is really wrong with the graphics test.

In GFXBench 1080p Manhattan 3.1 Offscreen results section, a Snapdragon 845 phone will score ~60 Fps, while the iPhone X only scores ~43 Fps.

According to the 3DMark results website, a Snapdragon 845 device will score ~5000 in the Sling Shot Extreme Unlimited test, while the iPhone X scores ~3200.

  • Apple rejects Steam Link app from App Store, cites breach of guidelines

“Did IQs just drop sharply while I was away?” - Ripley

The App allowed people to purchase games through the App that would then download to your PC. This is obviously a violation of Apples in-App purchase policies.

But go ahead and keep believing your bullshit conspiracy theories about Apple being anti-competitive.
Meanwhile, the Microsoft Remote Desktop iOS app allows you to open Steam and make a purchase.
