    I like the new iPad Air 4 overall. Colors are cool = green.

    i like my iPad Pro 11 but it tipped over, slightly cracked screen - so tradein value =0.

    Will miss pro-motion 120hz - and yes you can notice if u care and don’t believe quality/improvement = ‘dumb’.

    The faster 5nm a14 and colors and slightly better price are enough to mean I will probably get it even though I love Face ID on iPad Pro and iPhone X, will miss it.

    I have actually accidentally triggered this twice so far.

    Basically i used to use Airplay from my iPhone to a wireless Dac which allowed me to play music remotely to my tube stereo.
    I turned off 'sound check' (which normally compresses the music to make the volume changes between songs more 'even') because i wanted to maximize sound quality/dynamics.
    So I often play music on shuffle and sometimes between songs like classical guitar to modern/synth rock could become quite a volume jump since sound check was not on. I would often have the phone on the floor next to my chair and if there was a big jump in volume i would try to lower it with the volume buttons (because of apartment neighbors).
    However since the power button is on the opposite side i somehow accidentally activated the sos when trying to do rapid presses of the volume. When i heard the sos chime, i tried to cancel the emergency that came up on the screen but regardless each time i got a call back from emergency services and i had to give them information about my name and address and tell them it was an accident etc for them to not send a car over.

    So just trying to mash the volume buttons triggered this for me.

    This kind of seems like a 10 page rant because someone forgot to bring their hdmi adapter once.
    Heal from the trauma and move on.
    Usually if someone forgets something they just remember to bring it next time, not demand that the computer be redesigned.

    I forgot my iphone today, not going to ask for a redesign.

    Having the usb-c thunderbolt 3 ports offers flexibility because they can handle almost anything, even if it may need an adapter for some particular things (cf card, sd card, usb-a, displayport, hdmi, cdrom drive, etc) to do it.

    Yes I was wondering if they would do a 'pro' premium price increase with the 16" - but they didn't raise the prices and actually made it a better value.
    That might be a good sign for the future pricing too (ar glasses, etc).
    The previous 15" with 6-core and 512gb was at least $200 extra i think - here it comes with 512gb for the base price of $2399.

    For my 2018 15" 256gb I should of gone for the 512gb or higher.
    I use a Samsung T5 512Gb ssd as working overflow drive, but it is still a bit clunky - would rather have it internal.

    I may have to take a loss and upgrade, as i like the performance of my 15 but dislike the keyboard quite a bit - if i pay attention to it - as i do a fair bit of writing on it.

    As far as the ports are concerned, here some things to consider.
    Having Usb-C probably allows for the thin form factor - which yes i am one who likes thin design for portability/looks/weight - so would rather not gain 0.5-1lb etc just to have 2 or 3 old usb ports on it.
    Additionally, in terms of the 'bus' of the motherboard - each component/port that is slower on that bus might affect the performance of each 'cycle' or hertz of that bus. So having only 4 high speed 40gb/sec thunderbolt 3 ports may be good for performance/stability in that respect.

    Without knowing what technology capabilities Apple might have in their labs, 'gotcha' moments working with the hardware could drive some of the design.

    Identifying environment objects may require cameras or sensors (like FaceID tech).
    Locating places of interest (stores, cafes, venues) may use gps - or maybe be identified with those 'tag' things put in these places.
    Tags could identify one's car or pet or other tagged cafes etc that you 'favorite'.

    In terms of an 'overlay' hopefully the display would not be in a small rectangular area like Hololens or Magic Leap but fill the field of view.
