  • Apple could be just a year away from being worth $4 trillion

I'm glad I just kept buying since 2004, but now just selling the past year and a half to enjoy retirement. AAPL was the luckiest/smartest thing I ever did. 😀
I have had retirement advisors look at my portfolio and chastise me for AAPL being the largest investment.

I ask them, "What do you have that has had doubled every 3 years for the last 15 years?" - 15 year total return of 6071% (actual 3 year doubling would be 6400%)

They go back to their sales pitch about annuities and other investments.  Yes, I know that having all my eggs in one basket is risky, but I have eggs elsewhere too.

Regardless of whether this happens, I feel like a dummy since I got out of investing in Apple many years ago under the false premise that once it hit $1T that stock price increases would be slow as a percentage of my investment. My hat off to those that stuck with it through $3T and I hop you make it to $4T this year.
If you think of investing in AAPL as getting on the "up" escalator, if you get in now, and it goes to $4T, that's still 33% you can earn.

My shares I bought in 2010 have profited nicely, and I am grateful I didn't sell.  But if I did, I can always buy back in and reap the rewards now.  Come on back!  The water's fine!

  • Apple released a short video teasing Apple Vision Pro, paying homage to original iPhone ad...

I think there will two classes of people on 2/2:

Those that have the Apple Vision Pro.
Those that wish they had the Apple Vision Pro*.

*varying degrees, but I think these are going to be bigger than the naysayers, and some of the pundits say.

Then there will be two classes of Apple Vision Pro owners on 2/3:

Those that know how they'll use it, and find creative ways to use them.
Those that regret buying them because it's just an iPad on their heads.**

** for now... The iPad was kind of the same thing.  Just a bunch of iPhone apps that even now, some developers just use.

Well, as a stockholder, I’m a happy boy.
I too have barely survived the last 4,832.43 cries of “Apple is doomed,” since 2010.

  • Apple Watch AFib alert leads to diabetes diagnosis, saving a woman's life

That is awesome!  I love hearing these stories about people getting more days on this planet, due to the technology that Apple (and others) have made.

One thing I do wish (as a 52 year juvenile (best explains me) diabetic) that the workout app had complications, so while I am working out, I can see my blood sugar levels from the Dexcom app.  It works (somewhat) well on the main face, but when riding my bike, I'd prefer to keep my hands on the handlebars* than pushing on the crown twice and then tapping the Dexcom complication to bring up the app.

*I'm not as skilled as the kids I see riding not holding the handlebars and doing things on their phones.  I used to do the "these kids" thing, but now I admire them for their skill, dexterity, and ability to multitask.  I have yet to see one kid that has crashed.  Not looking for a debate on this, I'd never do that, but seeing the kids is impressive.
