  • Zuckerberg wants to 'inflict pain' on Apple for privacy changes

This explains his decision to release a product to “compete” with Apple Watch. Oh, the pain!
Vengeance is a bad motivator for a new product.
Building a better product to serve the customers is a great motivator, and is long term wise.

Funny how it was a “feature” according to people here that it didn’t allow you to make reports, see user reported speed checkpoints etc. when I mentioned once that it was a glaring omission in the app. Will go a long way to closing the gap with GMaps.
It was of low priority for Apple, and most still won’t use it. Driving and screwing (inputting) with your phone at same time doesn’t work too well
I see your point, but having it in CarPlay makes more sense, as there is a consistent place for the buttons to be to push.  One thing that cracks me up is on our Honda Odyssey, the map system won't let you input directions while driving.

Folks, it is entirely possible for the passenger to input this information as well, but not on the Odyssey.

It’s crazy if they’re actually calling them “accidents” as opposed to “crashes” or “collisions”. Almost all collisions are due to someone’s fault, and could have been prevented.
Like paying attention to your screen instead of the road.

Driving is still VFR, folks... Eyes outside the cockpi... car.

  • Notes of interest from Apple's Q1 2021 earnings report and conference call

Thank you to all of the employees at Apple for making this quarter the best evah!

Since this thread went political, I just vote against the members on the board that I don't agree with, but then again, I know which way they lean, and I'm grateful for the money they're making me, and then I can put that money towards the causes I believe in.

How much sleep do I lose worrying about people at Apple that disagree with me?
None.  Most of them are really nice people that have a different point of view than me.
The rest, who are not nice people at the extremes can have an argument with people on my side of the spectrum with equally extreme views and both can walk away convinced that they're right and have nothing in either's mind changed.

  • Facebook preparing to take Apple to court over iOS 14 privacy features

So, the argument is, "You must feed user information to us without restriction."

Hey FB, why not make your own phone?  All the cool kids are doing it.
