The iPad as it exists today is pretty simple: a Mini consumer model, a normal consumer model, and a Pro model in two sizes. Whatever gets announced next month, that looks to be unchanged.
The Watch is pretty simple too: the new one in two sizes, and the old one in two sizes. "the old one" looks like it'll be replaced with "the affordable plastic one," otherwise no change.
Yes, there's a mess of SKUs because of the cellular option, but it's still a pretty simple lineup.

Haven’t seen a leak yet that says the Pixel 4a will have a LCD screen—everybody has said OLED

Lol. I thought it said these were made to compete? At virtually the same price as the Apple Watch, what’s the benefit? I don’t see it doing anything to differentiate itself really unless you’re a total fitness nut.

One month later: iPhone XS versus the iPhone XS Max
The real question is "why no product red?" If there was a RED Xs Max, at least for me, it would be game over. I'd be all over it.
