Apple hires new HomePod Software Head to boost lackluster speaker sales
How is that remotely relevant to the HP flop? Amazon sells all of their smart speakers for less than the HP mini. The initial justification used here for the price gap was privacy, but since Apple was caught sending voice clips to be reviewed by humans that argument somewhat evaporated, with no further excuses for the price. -
Nomad iPhone 13 case review: Protection that hides a nifty secret
So, how long before we hear about someone being able to hack these into a one-tap information collector? NFC tap to a venerable device to gather as much information as possible. Such interesting capabilities for such a great leather case, as long as the build and leather quality is as good as my Nomad air pods pro case. I’ve owned it with heavy daily use for as long as it’s been out and it has held up wonderfully. -

Apple-backed lobbying groups accused of fighting climate legislation
They’re opposing the bill because it’s full of garbage. Besides, it’s not being called a climate change bill it’s being called an infrastructure bill, get the topic of the article correct. It doesn’t do what it claims it will and it’s far more than $3.5T at the end of the day. Good for them. A Libtard whoever Senator or whatever he is threw a page in that lays out groundwork for our government to bankrupt any business that doesn’t follow Biden’s vaccination mandate by fining any company $700,000/employee that’s not vaccinated. That’s asinine! How is this infrastructure? How does this help our “Roads and bridges”? I call good on them and I call BS on this pork filled bill. -
USB-C group hopes new logos will solve customer confusion
This is all a very good reason Apple doesn’t cause more confusion with the millions of iPhone users by switching to USB-C. I’m sure it’s faster and all that but imagine how many people would be so pissed off that after removing the charge brick that 90% of people have 6 of they completely change the port used to charge their phone. I have tons of lightning cables and they’re slowly becoming used less than before just because of the convenience of MagSafe and wireless charging. Anyone can almost always find someone else with a lightning cable to charge their phone but not everyone has the correct USB-C cable to do the same, if they carry an iPhone. I like USB-C, I like the universality of it and it’s capabilities but they need to be better defined up front for what they’re capable of. Some have to be reversed to work and some don’t. That is super annoying, kinda like back to the old USB types that can only be plugged in a certain way.
