  • Satechi GaN USB-C Wall Chargers: faster, better, cheaper

Another great feature of both of the two 3-port chargers in the article are that all of the ports are truly PD (Power Delivery) and therefore able to negotiate voltages other than 5V and therefore can all provide more than 15W with PD capable devices.

Many of the other portable multi-port chargers from various providers on Amazon, or wherever, say that they are PD, which they probably are, but as soon as you plug in a second cable or device, all of the ports revert to, or stay at 5V with a maximum of 15W or less, and they don’t always say so in the big or small print.
100% true. The only other charger I’ve seen that doesn’t drop to 5v is Hyper Power’s chargers. I’m interested in this line and will check one out soon.

  • Apple-backed lobbying groups accused of fighting climate legislation

They’re opposing the bill because it’s full of garbage. Besides, it’s not being called a climate change bill it’s being called an infrastructure bill, get the topic of the article correct. It doesn’t do what it claims it will and it’s far more than $3.5T at the end of the day. Good for them. A Libtard whoever Senator or whatever he is threw a page in that lays out groundwork for our government to bankrupt any business that doesn’t follow Biden’s vaccination mandate by fining any company $700,000/employee that’s not vaccinated. That’s asinine! How is this infrastructure? How does this help our “Roads and bridges”? I call good on them and I call BS on this pork filled bill.

  • Facebook preparing to take Apple to court over iOS 14 privacy features

Facebook will never win against Apple in a privacy lawsuit. Good luck Zuck.

  • Apple wipes on-device CSAM photo monitoring from site, but plans unchanged

I myself didn’t have any issues with any of it TBH. I don’t have child pornography on anything I own and neither does anyone I know so I have nothing to worry about. They never were going to physically look at every photo, these are hash scans for particular data in the file details itself, not the actual photos. I also allowed the notifications setting on my 11 year old Daughter’s phone to notify me of potential unacceptable messages being sent or received. Let the paranoid people kill what could actually help end the CP sickness that’s more of an issue today than ever.

  • Texas sues Meta over Facebook's past facial recognition practices

This is the same Texas state government that has made drastic changes to voting laws to try and reduce the number of citizens that can successfully cast a vote in the state.
Based on your inaccurate comment it doesn’t seem to me you live in Texas. I’ve lived in Texas for my 43 years and the government has never tried to reduce the amount of people that can vote. We actually have opened early voting for extended periods of time, more than most states by a lot, and the state allows anyone to cast a provisional ballot that if needed any government issued or even a school issued ID is sufficient. You cannot tell me that even thou you’re required to have an ID to lease an apartment or any housing but it’s not okay to require that same ID to cast a ballot for an election. You’ve been fed wrong information watching CNN and reading The Washington Compost

I suspect the next round of Apple hardware with the next level M chips will address those features for semi-pros.  What we have now is the range of Macs for the masses and basic needs.  Oh, my Mac mini M1 I bought just to have the first Apple Si Mac for posterity, just arrived...
I wish my self Christmas budget was that high still. Not with 3 kids and the Wife that come first. I’m ready to get the Mac mini to run my PLEX server on.

  • Apple uses Messages colors to bully Android users, says Google

I’m not too concerned about Google being butt hurt about bubble colors. Maybe they’re really worried about the amount of people switching away from their fragmented OS

  • Judge blocks Apple from retaliating against Unreal Engine, Fortnite to remain off App Stor...

If you don’t like Apple’s ways then don’t buy Apple. I don’t like Bill Gates’ ways so I choose not to purchase Microsoft products. It’s that simple. You cannot just “Force” a store to allow people to run around the isles possibly destroying your merchandise that you own and paid for much less force Apple to allow 3rd party app stores. This is the latest in socialism policy that doesn’t work in America or anywhere else for that matter. Force is not welcome. Free market and freedom period is.
