I agree...no matter how you spin it, Apple is balking at a $10-$12 part that makes it look cheap and/or greedy.

I get it for no adapter in a $250 AirPods product or a $330 iPad device, but really...$20 omission for a $2000 pro-level laptop?!!

I suggest focusing on the model you want and don't worry on the band. There are multitudes of band options, both similar and beyond Apple's offerings, on eBay...and at fractions of the price. If there's a difference between their Milanese and Apple's (other than $120), then I sure don't see it. Considering this AW 7 matches the same sizes previously, my dozen+ bands will work. 

So I just concentrated on getting the model I wanted (Stainless Steel Graphite) regardless of the band (Sport Dark Cherry).

Yep, I'm w/ others...it seems "Chicago is the greatest musical ever!" critics never seem to get science fiction movies right, which is a good thing for Foundation:

Just from a legal perspective, it seems clear why Apple would not allow Epic back in when appeals are still being made to the judgement. The "reneged" started with Epic and continues to this day with the appeal, so Apple see no merit in returning to a standard contract with them...the Epic PR is classic "speaking out both sides of your mouth".

AW 4 still feels comparable to most of this AW7 to not justify a significant upgrade cost. Might even look at discounted 6 instead.
