  • Marvel's 'What If...? - an Immersive Story' coming to Apple Vision Pro on May 30

Vision Pro won't massively take off until the price drops drastically like those flat screen TVs. By then there will be full length movies appearing left and right. No massive public demands, no go and it will stay as a niche forever.
Definitely it will be a niche device for those who do not want to use a computer, trackpad or keyboard and a tablet with touchscreen, along with a 100” screen to work and watch content on.

Currently, I guess you could call it gimmicks but this technology has to begin somewhere and continue to develop. It will be watching sports that will one day take the immersive experience to an everyday experience.

  • How to repurpose an old iPad and make it useful again

The last time I charged my iPad from 2012, the battery ballooned so much it popped the display out of the metal frame.  I sent it to Apple Japan for recycling.  Apple Japan gives you NO CREDIT for doing that.  They simply arrange for a shipper to come by and pick up the items you want to recycle.  It costs you nothing, but you get nothing.  So if you folks in the USA actually get something, count your blessings.  Even so, the article is clearly making recommendations about more recent iPads.  When your iPad is very old like mine, the battery is a problem.  Forget longer battery life and fires.  I just want batteries that stop ballooning after they expire, so they won't destroy otherwise good electronics anymore.  Current battery tech stinks in that regard.
Recycle the Apple product in USA does not pay you either.
I rather use Apple trade in every 3 years to buy new iPad.
I am planning to buy new iPad Pro 11’ M4 with trade in 2nd gen iPad Pro 11’ which Apple will pay above $300 for it.
Since Apple soldered RAM, SSD for all Apple computers, there is no reason to hold the product more than 3 to 4 years. I rather trade in so I can get credit from Apple.
    Traded in a 12.9” M1 Pro and received $510 from  towards the M4 13” Pro.

  • iPad Pro hands on: Luxury technology in an impossibly-thin package

Having switched jobs I have less need for an iPad Pro compared with my old job.  The Air was the logical choice, almost the same as my old M2 IPP I had to hand back.  Buuut, I decided on the M4 Pro.  I will keep it a long time.

Anyway, very happy with that choice. The screen is a marvel, and the M4 definitely feels snappier than the M2.

I have a low end 11 inch IPP, Firelock, so shiny screen. And the pencil pro seems like magic. The pencil feels a bit different in the hand to the pencil 2. The pencil 2 had a smooth surface while the pro seems Matt.  The new functions are very user friendly.
i would assume the nano texture version might be a bit like if you had those anti-glare handwriting screen covers, but less intrusive.
Liking the M4 chip and thinness of the new Pro also.

  • One hedge fund completely bailed out of AAPL, but another more than picked up the slack

Was in the Apple Store yesterday upgrading my iPad. If what I saw in the store is any  indication of what is happening worldwide, these iPads are flying off the shelf and should help with the bottom line, many were college students buying iPads already for back to school in the fall.
