  • Apple's 'Find My' will help you find a lost Ember Travel Mug 2+

$200? For that I can buy enough travel mugs to have one within arms reach at all times. This is gadgetry for its own sake.
True and each mug at a different temperature.

  • Apple allegedly working on cheaper 'AirPods Lite'

Am enjoying the gen 2  since they were released at the end of September. Still can’t believe how much of an improvement there is over the gen 1 AirPod pro. You could pick up a pair for 199+ tax during the holidays, which I think is a very reasonable price for such an excellent product.

  • iPad mini 6 review: One year later, still a great reader and streamer

Absolutely. The best iPad for most people for most casual tasks. It's now by far my most used iPad - the larger ones sit in a drawer most of the time. It's a big enough screen for watching casual videos, the audio is loud enough and stereo, it's great for video chats, for reading books, for looking up online info, it's light enough to hold in one hand, it's great for use when sitting, standing or lying down. An absolute winner, just really really wish Apple would have put face id on it so it would be consistent in usage with all my other devices, and wish some app developers like Tweetbot would provide larger font options (some apps even at max font settings have too-small fonts on the iPad mini).
Ditto, Ditto, Ditto. No scrolling page effects here. After recent cataract surgery enjoying the mini even more. I work on spreadsheets and keynote presentations, utilizing split screen all the time. Apple  Pencil attached magnetically is magnificent. USB- C charging so fast. Use it in conjunction with iPad Pro 12.9”.  Looking forward to an upgrade hopefully with Face ID. A marvelous device.

  • iCloud Shared Photo Library vs. Shared Albums in Photos

    senna18 said:
Another problem with iCloud Shared Library is that albums you have created do not get shared with anyone else. This might be great for some people who want to create their own albums, but I want to share the library with my wife and she will not want to recreate a 100 new albums.
Is my understanding that when you use iCloud shared library, you do not create albums you are putting photos in a shared library using the host’s personal library album categories. If you don’t have any personal albums, then I believe all photos from the group (6 max) goes into your main photo album.
