  • Apple to overtake Samsung in Q4 2021, 5G iPhone SE coming in 2022

    I’m absolutely buying the SE and dumping my 12 mini.

    I picked up my friends 2nd generation SE and it was so light, then and had Touch ID.
    much nicer then the mini which is HUGE and feels slow in comparison
    What am I missing here. Compared with the 12 mini, the SE 2nd gen is taller and wider and it weighs more. It is thinner by 0.1mm I guess but that is hardly a compensation for the smaller screen

  • iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7 & more: what to expect from the Apple Event

    When I see the Mac mini redesign with all the cables in the back I think Apple should bring back the wired keyboard and upgrade it to be a thunderbolt-hub! Is not gonna happen as Apple is migrating to wireless, but it’s so cumbersome to access all the ports in the back.

    Turn it around.

  • Apple's new Siri Remote for Apple TV gets firmware update

    From somewhere else on the internet;

    "Apple today released a new firmware update for the Siri Remote designed for the new Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models. The new firmware has an internal version number of 9M6772, while the prior firmware version was 9M6336. Note that this is not the firmware version that you see in the Apple TV Remote settings."

  • Apple launches new Pride music page celebrating LGBTQ+ artists

    So far not a lot of Q in their LGBTQ+ playlists (about 3 breakthru dance hits as far as I can see).

    Just dance club music, hey fun for a night out or to get you threw Friday afternoon at work in a long week, or Wednesday if it's a really long week. Still to bill this as representing LGBTQ+ people really sells the community short and in a rather comfortable box that conservatives can handle as "those people" not just everyday people who happen to in part of their life be non-heterosexual.

    I listened to it and enjoyed it but honestly could not tell what music is indicative of what group or what was missing. You've got me curious so I'll go do some research and listening. I sense your frustration might be like if there was an old straight white person mix and all it had was 80's rock, whereas I quite like jazz, blues, alt-rock and classical (and more)  from many eras.
