  • Apple 27-inch mini LED display expected in early 2023

Got a pair of the new March 2022 Studio Displays along with my maxed out Mac Studio main computer. This is a light years jump from my two 2013 27" Apple Thunderbolt displays and 2013 MacPro (trash can) with 128GB of ram and a 2TB SSD. No complaints here.

  • iPhone 14 Pro Max already backordered, amidst Apple Store issues

As I am out of town for several weeks, I would not be there to sign for an early arrival. Ordered an iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB late Friday and my delivery time is 10 to 17 October which work out fine for me. Perhaps any initial build issues could be fixed by then and a dot one OS installed.

  • Compared: iPhone 14 Plus vs. iPhone 14 Pro Max

The dual eSim will be a PITA for those of us who travel to places that just getting sims on offer let alone having even heard if an eSim.

I get the top model iPhone with max memory every year. I have been with Verizon continuously since September of 1988. Their tech support is like the tides, sometimes it is stellar (high tide) and sometimes it is low tide and support needs a glass navel to see where the problem is and how to fix.

The last three years birthing an eSim has been a major issue that ended up at senior top level support. I was thankful my O2 UK sim was physical and was just an easy swap from home in the USA. This time I wlll have to be in the UK at an O2 store to attempt an eSim. Glad I have a iPhone 13 mini to put the O2 sim into. Back to carrying two phones like I did for years when traveling.

This is not positive progress for me.

  • Seven years later, Apple was right to kill off the 3.5mm headphone jack

The headphone jack is installed on all of the new Apple laptops as well as the Mac Studio.

  • Apple confirms Studio Display speaker fault, offers workaround

So perhaps unplugging the Studio Display as suggested could also be resetting the SMC on the "A" series computer inside the monitor. Just a thought.

I have a four plug power strip with an ON/OFF switch that I plan to plug both Studio Displays into and perhaps even the Mac Studio when it gets here. The power strip's power cord will go to the UPS under the desk. Note that the Studio Displays supposedly pull about 30 watts each and the Studio Ultra about 235 watts. We are talking less than a three amp power draw for all three devices. That is much less power draw than my 2013 Mac Pro and the two 2013 vintage 27" Apple displays.

I wonder if there are one or more other devices plugged into each of the Studio Displays Thunderbolt ports, if there could be power transients  from those devices upsetting the internal "A" computer.

I remember the "fun" of trying to get the connections in the correct order on SCSI chains and getting the card in the right order inside of the PCs.

I have not read whether the folks having issues are running in a "pure" Apple environment and if it is not a pure Apple  situation, how that could possibly contribute to the problems.

Thousands of possibilities exist that Apple may not be able to duplicate to cure the Studio Display issues. Trying a pure Apple setup for awhile might help isolate that issue.

Are there any users with two Studio Displays connected to a Mac Studio having these issues? These two were sort of being offered as a system at their launch.....
