  • New MacBook Pro with M1 Max processor will ditch Touch Bar, adopt MagSafe

There is an error above discussing the 16" laptop. My 2019 16" MacBook Pro has 64GB of 2666 MHz DDR4 memory, a 8TB SSD and AMDC Radeon Pro 5500M (top video card when ordered) for just over $6,000. It has the 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 processor. Quite the machine in 2019.

  • Five key features missing from Apple's new iPad mini

I have a vintage Zagg folding pocket keyboard that supports the mini6 in landscape and portrait modes.  Very convenient but not a speed typist tool. Works for my hunt and peck typing skills. It does require the old usb style connector charging cable and a 5 watt wall wart. This Zagg keyboard was sold for the iPhone of the day.

  • Majority of iPhone users unimpressed with iPhone 13 lineup, study finds

I have acquired the top model of iPhone every year since the iPhone 4. The last three years my wife has taken over the prior year model and the units trickle down through her family. So the cost is not that much when spread over four of five family members getting a "new" to them iPhone every year. There has to be some advantage to being the "senior Beagle" or the more realistic term of being the next to die.

I find the photos and display light years ahead of my iPhone 12 Pro Max in low light. The battery life is much improved and there is really no need for an external battery like on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and prior year models.

Having the latest iPhone is far cheaper exercise than folks trading for a new car every year like some folks I have known.

Have we got so lazy that entering the 6 digit access code at time of purchase is too much work?

  • Italian regulator says Apple's iCloud terms are unreasonable, may be illegal

If one does not like the Apple eco-system, buy Android instead.  No one, yet, is forced to buy any Apple product be it software, hardware or services.

Guess what? If you don't like the terms of use, do NOT sign up.

I'm so tired of the nanny state removing the responsibility from the user, who voluntarily signed up, for the user's poor decision making process. Read the agreement before joining. It is actually that simple.
