I get the fully loaded new top model every year. Then my current model goes to the wife. She has four daughters and one gets an upgrade as well. Sometimes there is another trickle down that goes to another sister. We get the value of the yPhones handed down thru the family.
The wife and I have Verizon on the e-chip and an actual UK O2 sim card as well. Her family is in the UK & Ireland. So we now need only one "cell" phone where we had to have two a few years back.
Progress is great most of the time. -

Apple's Cook says 5G rollout still in 'early innings'
Here in the Phoenix urban sprawl, I often see "5G" displaying. Great. However there is no perceptive increase in web pages displaying. If near a 5G tower, the app download speed is quick, but even LTE is faster than the cable internet at home. So, I see the 5G capability only as bragging rights in the real world. When we go back to the UK (hopefully) this late fall, I might see 5G inside the Apple store in Birmingham. -
