  • iPad mini review roundup: Superior speed but missing a critical feature

I have a Zagg Bluetooth pocket folding keyboard that seems to work with any iDevice. It has a small shelf that supports my iPhone 12 Pro Max and will support my iPhone Pro Max version 13. It also works with my mini v5. So perhaps the Zagg keyboard/case attached to my v5  may not happen again for the v6. But the Zagg little folding (8.75" x 2.125" x 0.5"0) pocket keyboard Zagg made years ago still works..

  • Apple has started preorders for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro

I think Apple has sparse inventory and put more at the stores than the central warehouses. I was surprised that at 5:09 (logged in at 5:03) only one of seven local stores had silver in stock. Not complaining as I got one, but surprised the stock vanished.  Wonder what the lines will be like at the stores on the 24th?

  • Apple preparing iOS 14.8 release as iOS 15 launch nears

The good news there is not one big brother. The bad news there are many big brothers all wanting to take (by whatever means legal or otherwise) each person's private information to use as a marketing tool or to steal their assets.

  • Harber Magnetic Envelope Sleeve review: sturdy, flexible protection for the iPad Pro

I have the M1 powered 11" iPad Pro with the Bridge keyboard. The keyboard protects the screen and Bridge includes a over for the other side of the iPad. Straight sides and corners are exposed although the corners at the joint of keyboard and iPad have rubber cups to grip the iPad. This is the least amount of stuff I need to protect the iPad. There is nothing else lying around or being left in the airline seat pocket when I leave.

  • M1X Mac mini will be thinner, use iMac's magnetic power connector says leaker

The original white Mac Minis I had for servers all had a clunky power brick. The design made for a rat’s nest of wires and bricks below all six servers. Then the there was the keyboard, mouse and monitor interface cables to the monitor switch plus the Ethernet cables. The silver colored minis had the internal power supply and that helped reduce the mess of wires. Since the advent of the USB plugs/interface it might be possible to have the power brick/Ethernet connection and one USB connection to a monitor switch that handles mouse/monitor and keyboard issues. Also the Apple Remote Desktop program allows for complete remote control.

The issue as I see it is the lack of the USB A plugs for the keyboards and mice that are still in use….
