By reading the various news sources on the tech industry, we have been told why Apple's innovations are abysmal now. The rats are leaving the slowly sinking monstrous ship.

The car fiasco squandered billions and those creatives associated went elsewhere.

The $3,500 goggles blew billions and it has been a flop as the R&D costs have yet to be recovered.

So the best they can do is  change the processor on the mother board and add a different color to the reused case design and they expect sales to soar. That applies to the entire product line.

If the billions wasted had been spent on improving the operating system to a bug free status, that would have driven sales. There are significant problems that are closing in on ten years since they were discovered and documented and yet Apple does not address them.

Tim's great ideas of moving production have been negated by Trump so Apple will be paying lots of tariff money. Can the buyers reimburse Apple or will they say this stuff is just too expensive now and sales tank?

Wonder where all the tariff money being collected goes? 

Fund the tax breaks for the rich?
Build a 200 million dollar ball room at the White House?
Spend a Billion dollars to make the "gift" 747 a functional Air Force 1 that Trump gets to keep and fly over to Russia for them to inspect our secure electronics?
Fund ICE?
Fund the military to control US citizens? (Needs lot of tanks....)

That is the whole point of my post. The iPhone 16s were sold as AI ready when there is no way they will run AI in two years. Apple knows that so the iPhone 17 purchasers will find that out when the iPhone 18 comes put with 16GB RAM.

Not so sure Apple's use of cash is benefitting the shareholders or the Board Room members and senior staff that have inside information.....

Perhaps if they expended more on R&D we would not have to have a bunch of lies covering up their failures to get the job done they promised. Leadership sucks so bad that four top AI guys were recruited away as they were obviously disgusted with the Apple work place. Lack of Leadership is not usually rewarded with anything other than a termination notice.  Tim Cook has a huge Apple provided financial cushion and his life style would not be negatively impacted if he had to do work elsewhere.

Not going to be lots of "Thanks" coming from the hundreds of millions who purchased the iPhone 16 models that were falsely advertised last year they would have a working "Siri assistant" in 2024/2025.

Folks should just pass on the iPhone 17 series that is rumored to get 12GB of ram when next year we will see 16GB of ram on every Apple product as the minimum for Apple AI (what ever that means) and all prior generations will have crippled performance due to insufficient memory.

The tariffs will just add insult to injury to the buying public. Hopefully, Apple sales tank and they have an awakening that lying to the customer base has consequences.

Somehow, from 1990 to 2024, Apple was able to introduce new products without a bunch of significant lies. The deceptive advertising happened on Tim Cook's watch and there should be negative responses from the Board of Directors and certainly NO bonus money or stock options. Somebody has to be held accountable that is currently employed or soon to be a "former" employee of Apple.
