Simple idea, don't buy any new Apple gear in 2025 or 2026 and Apple might have to reconsider their pricing structure when sales tank.

Just continue writing influence checks if you will, but after they are cashed, there always be the request for more checks. 

Seems like a shakedown like in the Mafia movies where one paid for "protection" from the folks getting the check.

Crazy world we live in now. Getting extremely close to George Orwells "1984" story. As the facts have played out, the book is almost a crystal ball of our reality.....

One can not ignore the announcement video for iPhones 16 series with the reality that much of the new features were actually vaporware and almost a year later are still not operational. We (my wife and I) could have waited another iPhone model year rather than getting two iPhone 16 Pro Max 2TB  models at close to $2,000 each with sales tax and Apple care.

The 17 series are rumored to have 50% more memory to 12GB but all the Macs have to have 16GB to run Apple AI so will this too will be a scam (?) because we will find that the 18 series with 16GB will actually run AI properly???

At Apple's purchase volumes, the memory could have been 16GB for the 16 series iPhones but corporate greed influenced (?) the decision to string along two more years of iPhones with inadequate memory for their big deal AI plans.  

Apple revealed by their moving all Macs to 16GB of memory that is the minimum necessary (at this time) for Apple AI. We always have installed maximum memory now that it is soldered in place....

Apple really needs to get their act together. Another less than truthful iPhone introduction like we had for the iPhone 16 series could be a disaster for Apple.

Remember the saying: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

It has been nearly a year and I have no compelling need to turn on Apple AI on ANY of my many Apple devices. (I do not have any other AI operational either).

The "guessing" trickle improvement to 12 from 8 GB of iPhone memory tells me that 16 is the necessary target as that is where all of the Macs are now. But Apple wants to squeeze out another sales gimmick to have an incentive to buy the 17 series and then the 18 series. A camera update does not compell me to blow around $2,000 for the top model 17 series (what with Apple Care and sales tax). The iPhone could be two generations behind the other brands by the time the 18 series are announced.

Siri still is usable for a count down timer and to dial a phone number but not much else after all these years. Siri is as stale as a piece of 2024 bread bought when the iPhone 16 series came out.

Good Luck Apple. But luck is no substitute for capability or competence in debugging all of the Apple OS versions.

That is why there are "unlimited,ited" data plans.
