  • The TextBlade keyboard is superb, but you'll have to be patient

    i guess we are on opposite ends of the spectrum.  I read the article and thought it was objective.  I ordered one and am now a fan of the company.  Some of you may need therapy and seem to have an agenda to hurt the company.  This vaporware talk is nonsense.  Like the article title says, you'll have to be patient.  Try it..

    Ericpeet - maybe have a look at the bullet points in our post, if you like answers more than questions.  Or perhaps your point is to frame knowns as unknowns.

    Alexonline - people have already received properly working units.  Since you don’t have an order, and you say it’s vaporware, it’s curious you still spend time on it.




    You people are incredible and ridiculous. I had an order for two years. You banned me because I posted in the RANTS section. You refused to re-instate me. Every few months I come back to see if you lot have launched yet, but all you get is smarmy, condescending, rude remarks from YOU - the Waytools support rep who is only less slightly wordy than DBK. 

    Listen you sanctimonious people - ship your damn product. It has been FOUR YEARS. You lied to us in the start, you've continued to lie, and you suggest that sending out beta test units to people is "properly working units" as though you'd shipped to customers. That is another blatant lie from you, Waytools. 

    When, or rather if, you ever ship, chances are very high that I'll place an order - as a technology journalist who has been using tech since 1979, I love all new technologies that look like they are going to change the world. It's why I ORDERED A TEXTBLADE from you! But after four years, and lots of overly wordy nonsense from you, it's no wonder that plenty of us reside in the Reddit forum, having been BANNED BY YOU, and come back every few months to "curiously spend time on it". 

    If only YOU curiously spent some time on FINISHING YOUR DAMNED PRODUCT, you might have some happy customers (not BETA TESTERS) who would be happily using your product. 

    Instead you have a few hundred beta testers. Clappity clap clap. 

    Wake me when you ship. Until then, stop answering people like me and bloody well GET BACK TO WORK.

    Another poster criticizing this company years after receiving a refund for a $99 product.  I ask again, why?  Time to move on with your life and let go of the bitterness, Alex.

    Last point, because I know I will be accused by the paranoid and pathological Waytools 'support' person and his alter egos Kahuna and Colin: I have never spoken ill of your alleged product or said anything to suggest that the product itself would not be great and worthy of purchase. Its a nice product if its real. If you had given me the keyboards I paid for years ago, by now I'm sure I would have worn them down to nothing and bought more. You are a crazy person the way you try to cast yourself as having the upper hand in the ethics of this debate: your logic is - I am righteous because I want to make the best most perfect product for my customers, and therefore I will never give my customers the product they paid for. You are insane! I don't speak against your products or your efforts to innovate or make good products. I only speak ill of your insanity and total lack of ethics and your lies and gaslighting and your extremely poor judgement and your inability to deal ethically and professionally with people and customers.
    Three days ago you said, 'Last point'.  But you are still posting ad nauseam, so hypocritical of you to talk about being dishonest.  No, I do not work for Waytools.  I offered you 4 cents of interest (bank account interest of .01% a year for 4 years for your $99 purchase) that you had requested with your refund a few days ago.  The offer still stands but I won't spend 50 cents to mail you a check. As I said, you aren't worth it and you have proven as such with your continued posting.  What a nuisance you are!  But you have helped me fully understand why companies post signs stating:  "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."

    First time AI poster here.  Wow, I had entirely the opposite impression of Waytools, simply forced to credibly defend themselves against some aggressive, long-term, less than honest trolls.  Rolanbek seems a bit deranged in my view, as Waytools gave him(?) a refund years ago and he is still around challenging Waytools and any authors who objectively write about the Textblade.  Why?  What a nuisance.   All for a $99 product, it makes no sense on the surface.  There seems to be a hidden agenda here to squelch this revolutionary product by one or more of these individuals in my humble opinion. Waytools, I am a buyer, good luck to your entire team. I am cheering for your success, seeing how long it has taken you to get here. Kudos to the author for an objective article.  Remember Andy Grove, only the paranoid survive.
