Interesting. Big Sur 11.6 is showing for my Intel MacBook Pro, but not for my M1 Mac mini.

I think the ‘Glow and behold’ tagline for WWDC 21 is a dead giveaway for mini LED backlit MacBook Pros.

The differences are weight and the material the watch crystal is made from. Aluminum has a glass crystal, and SS has a sapphire crystal. The sapphire is more scratch resistant. The first watch I bought was the aluminum Series 0, and within a week it had a big scratch across the face. My Series 3 is SS, and is scratch free after two years of daily wear.

Is it worth the extra $300? I think so, but as always, YMMV.

Click the Release link to switch to the Software Downloads page

Click the Download button next to the macOS Catalina 10.15.6 (19G2531) entry to open the App Store to the Catalina full installer.

I'm not interested in doing a clean install right now, so I'll wait for the updater to appear (if it does) on https://support.apple.com/en_US/downloads
