At least for me, the MSI clearly wins because of the Anti-Ghost Key. As someone who is constantly being haunted, being able to dismiss those specters with the click of a key is a legitimate life saver.
I'd go as far as to say that there never needs to be another named upgrade. Just keep adding .1 updates when they're ready. At WWDC they can announce upcoming things they're working on and release them later. Kind of like they're doing now but without the pretense of a named upgrade.
I was thinking about getting the 13 inch but by the time I bumped it to 16 GB and 512 GB I was at 1699. That makes the difference (in my case) only 300 for the base model which has 16/512. 300 for a bigger, better screen, a faster chip and more ports. Looks like I'm getting the 14".
I use my original iPad as a Christmas iPad. Threw all the Christmas music on there, added a bunch of Xmas images for a slide show and added games and interactive books. It sill works great, albeit for only two months a year.
